Sad to say but I had a similar idol a few years ago with the tv show "the bachelor"... my husband felt the same as your husband about it but I was addicted...addicted to the drama, to the search for love? I'm not really sure exactly haha but eventually the SAME EXACT THING happened to me, praise the Lord!!!!

Praise Jesus for the work He does in our hearts! The Lord tells us clearly, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?” -Jer. 17:9. Our hearts are not to be trusted. They lead us to sin and they become hardened as we continue in it. How beautiful that our Savior pulled you out of even the most seemingly silly of sins. Not the TV watching. The misdirected worship! He goes on in Jer. 17:10, “I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.” Watching you praise our Father with all you are and surrendering fully to Him more and more is such a joy and blessing! Thank you for putting words to the experience! Testify my friend. 🙏🏽🙌🏽

Incredible— your voice in this to convey the addiction of seemingly “innocent” content. I no longer can listen to secular music. Even country. Only if it’s a song with clear theology.
