Tears and goosebumps! Your post took me right back to that moment. I remember worrying about late night phone calls. I remember the emptiness in your eyes. I remember how much I missed my friend. Im so glad we get the chance to raise our boys together. I love you.

Thank you so much Laura! I know God’s got you and your daughter too 🙏🏻🤍 And sharing your perspective as a parent is very powerful. Parents are going to need your hope and testimony. Glad we get support each other and share here together.

You're so welcome!! Thank you so much for saying that! That is my prayer! If even one person is helped, it would be such a blessing and give so much glory to God! I am so glad we get to support and share together! Anytime you want or need to chat, I am always here for that! 🥰

Daniela, this is incredibly raw, breathtakingly honest, and beautifully written. Reading your description of that garage, the tight circle of friends, and the absolute gut punch of hearing your fourth-grade best friend tell you she couldn't watch you die anymore completely broke me. Your writing has this fierce, unfiltered grit that pulls a reader straight into your past pain, but the hope at the very end leaves such a powerful mark. Thank you for being brave enough to share this chapter of your story, for reminding us that no one is too lost to be saved, and for showing the beautiful reality of what true, lifesaving love looks like.

Thank you always for reading and your review. My hope is that the reader will feel what I felt, even when it's uncomfortable. I pray it gives people a perspective of how dark life can get when we've lost hope and have no God. And that even when everyone else has "given up," God hasn't, and He can pull the hope-to-dies like me out of darkness to light. My friend that loved me enough to save my life is still my very close friend today. Our kids are growing up together and she was my Maid of Honor. God knew just what I needed and from who. I'm so grateful!

So glad God puts those friends and family who have courage to take a stand, even if it hurts. Thank you for sharing. Interventions are hard but sometimes a pivot point that God uses in us!
