Hey Jalisa's avatar

What caught me was how your dad was shaken enough to reconsider his beliefs, and also how you were able to help your son years later. Thank you so much for sharing your story, Daniela. 🫶🏾

Thank you for being willing to share something so personal. 🤍 What stood out to me most wasn't everything you experienced growing up, but that moment when your son came to you afraid, and he knew he could talk about it and ask you to pray. That really touched me. You grew up carrying so much fear and uncertainty, often keeping it to yourself. But now you're giving your son something you didn't have at his age—a safe place to bring his fears, talk about them, and learn to turn to God. I think that's such a beautiful picture of breaking generational patterns. We can't protect our children from every difficult thing they'll face, but we can teach them where to turn when life gets scary. 🤍

Thank you so much for your comment Kimberly. My son is my mission, and I feel so blessed to be able to teach him differently. I pray for those generational patterns to stop with me. He loves the Lord and I want to him to know he always has armor and the power of prayer and he is a child of God. Sending hugs!

I’m so sorry to read how scary and dark your experiences were at home. I knew about some of these incidents, but not all. I wish I could hug young Daniela and tell her that she is beautiful inside and out. God doesn’t make mistakes. You came through all that darkness for a reason 💜. Love you!

Thank you my friend! What the enemy meant for evil God uses for good. Having you as my friend all these years has meant more than you'll know. I love you and appreciate your support. Hugs!

Thank you for sharing your experience, Daniela. As Christians, we don’t discuss the devil enough. Certainly not as much as Scripture does.

You’re not alone either. Charles Spurgeon often attributed suicidal thoughts to Satan. “Is the devil tormenting you today? Do you feel tempted to commit suicide? Are you urged to some mad freak of yet greater sin in order to drown your griefs and strangle your conscience? O poor soul, do no such thing, for my Master will soon stoop over you, and take you by the hand, and lift you up.”

Keep up the good fight.

Hi Nathan thank you for your comment and saying the first part. I'm newer to faith and was surprised by this. I suppose that's partly why I wanted to write this, to let others know if they've been carrying something similar or know someone they are not alone.

Do you know any Christians with gifts who may be able to clean your house? You shouldn’t have to live with demons in your house. I’ve battled spiritual warfare as well and now rebuke them when they try to cause anxiety and depression, which they did with so much success for such a long time.

Daniela Fleming's avatar

Thank you for your comment. Yes, I've had friends show me how to pray and anoint my house which I do regularly. It's amazing the power of prayer and the name of Jesus, I'm glad it's working for you as well when you're feeling attacked. Sending hugs!

This is powerful and beautiful. Thank you for sharing! I love the redemptive thread the Lord wove into your story with your son ❤️

I wonder if your dad felt the nudge from Holy Spirit to tell you about how Big God is, that was why he took you outside.

Daniela Fleming's avatar

Thank you so much for your comment. I hadn't thought about that with my Dad, but you're right, and I'd like to think that was the Holy Spirit :)

Greater is He who is within me than he who is in the world.

First, I want to commend you for your vulnerability. Thank you for sharing these traumatic experiences. Second, God is SO GOOD. I am crying. I have 2 Timothy 1:7 on my bathroom wall and recite it every morning. It’s a beautiful reminder to my soul that my fear or questions don’t have the final say. I have a greater power within me.

I have been a caregiver to my combat wounded veteran with a Purple Heart father for 18 long years. What I can share after reading this is that you are probably chosen for salvation. What this means is that you will have to go through many trials & tribulation to get into the Kingdom of God. This new mind set is called entering into the promised land… seeing and hearing things that are from a higher perspective. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. It’s not our faith that saves us, it’s His Faith within us that matters. His Faith, the Faith of Jesus Christ within us is great every day. The Mercy of Jesus within us in new every morning. This is how we may enter into His daily promise. First seek Him and His dwelling place and then all His thoughts of the day will be added to you. Every morning when I wake up I enter His court with 2 things… Praise & Thanksgiving. Every day is Christmas. Every day is Thanksgiving… There is no Halloween for me anymore. This is how we die daily. This is why to die daily is a gain of function. We die to ourself and our own will and we pray Thy Will Be Done. Now. Today. When you seek first His will and His mind then all your enemies will flee. They have no choice. Remember this… Take up your crossing over daily. Eat the manna that falls onto your head daily. Offer up yourself as a living sacrifice daily. Do not forget to bring your prayers to Jesus Christ in the morning & evening… which is what Satan - the adversary - the enemy in our mind wants to take away daily. This is how we worship Jesus as God in us. When He returns to you daily as the Son of God - the offspring of God to your mind daily then the devil has no seat he can take anymore. Unfortunately you are correct is respect to this battle being something we must prepare for daily. But here is the beauty in all this… you are chosen by God for such a great salvation. It’s hard to endure until you understand this wisdom of God is your life. Submit all your thoughts to Jesus every single morning, even if you have complaints count them all as joy. He knows exactly what his Children are enduring to the end… and He knows how to save you from yourself every day. I am no longer waiting for Jesus to come in the clouds one day or someday in the future. I must have Jesus return to me every hour of every day. Just like the sun goes down at night and returns in the morning. The Son of God rises in my mind & heart daily now. When the enemy of my soul comes with vain imagination and schemes his way back in, it’s now a matter of minutes that I realize what is happening and cast him out in The Name of Jesus Christ. The helmet in the armor of God is the only item that is received not taken up or put on. We receive the helper and He comes with the helmet of protection, his thoughts then become our thoughts and we are one mind, one heart, one body again. We can only boast when the daily battle is won and we can take the armor off so we can rest for a little while. Remember the thief of our thoughts comes at night to steal kill destroy what we cultivate every day… but when we have Jesus waiting within us as The Watchman, that robber is caught and thrown into prison, bottom of the ocean floor or the lake of fire every time. This is why the 4 horses in the book of Revelation are also known as mares… night mares. They come at night and ride us from every direction as N.E.W.S. from the 4 corners of the earthly mind. I can go into detail if you message me directly, as I have had 18 years of experience. Only Jesus Christ who must dwell within my mind & heart daily stops the torment. Nothing else works. Jesus is God.

My goodness! It pains me that you had to experience such torment during that time but grateful that you finally had the courage to tell your dad. The Lord has truly blessed you with these moments for reflection and understanding 🙏❤️ Others won't feel alone because your words pierce the soul and move our truths! I love you 💖

Thank you for being brave enough to share your story with all of us. We are certainly in a battle, and it can be a hard one at times. But praise God we have ultimate victory in HIM.

I love that you are teaching your son about the Lord and His protection and comfort. You are a good mom!

Thank you for sharing your experience and reminding us the real power of Jesus and His authority. Glad you get to teach your son of Jesus authority and power of spoken Word of God. Hebrews 4:12. “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.”
